Repair your broken remote control using 550 cord and a few knots. Easy repair, takes about 5-6 minutes, just as long as this video was shot. Apologies for the crudeness, I just wanted back out on the water!
If you contact MotorGuide, or in this case Mercury (the manufacturer), they state that the part is only $13 and you have to buy through a reseller. Cheapest I found was almost $16 with a $9 shipping charge.
