Född i Schweiz och uppvuxen i Spanien flyttade Annika Wickihalder till Sverige som femåring. Hon lärde sig då svenska medan hon sjöng i barnkör inom stilarna soul, gospel och klassiker.

Hon beskriver att hon alltid har funnit kraft i musiken, med gospeln som ledstjärna. Hennes röst beskrivs som kraftfull men sårbar, och hon säger att scenen har varit en fast punkt där hon känner sig hemma. Hon har studerat gospel vid Mellansels folkhögskola.
Annika Wickihalder slutade på tredje plats i Idol 2021, och I maj 2023 släpptes hennes debut-EP Hollow, som blandar soul, gospel och pop. Hon Melodifestivaldebuterade 2024 med "Light" och vann Finalkvalet, för att sedan sluta på åttonde plats i finalen.
