Doeguling (or Mundgod) is a community on the precipice of a tremendous opportunity. Located in the North Kanara district of Karnataka State, South India, Doeguling is home to approximately 17,000 Tibetans, making it the largest Tibetan refugee settlement in the world.
Doeguling is approximately 50 km (one hour by road) from the City of Hubli-Dharwad which is well connected by modern air, road and rail facilities.
Doeguling is located halfway between international tourist locations in Goa and the UNESCO World Heritage Site in Hampi. The settlement spans over 4,000 acres with 11 separate villages.
Indian citizens and Tibetan R.C. holders are not required to have a PAP to visit a Tibetan Settlement unless they have a foreign passport.
