Here Gurudev Nidar Singh, the last master of the ancient art of Sanatan Shastra Vidya goes into more detail about his favourite sword as well as how its used in conjunction with other Indian Weapons.
Traditional India had amongst the widest variety of weapons in the whole of the ancient/medieval world. Unfortunately most of our Martial Knowledge has been lost. What is left is mostly for demonstrational purposes.
Sanatan Shastra Vidya taught by Gurudev Nidar Singh is one of those exceptions. The art he teaches is still very much rooted in Traditonal Indian Culture and the Ancient/Medieval Tactics that our ancestors developed over thousands of years.
