These videos are designed for guitar beginners or those with only limited guitar knowledge. They use simple chord shapes as much as possible and do not necessarily represent the way in which the original song was played. They are designed as practice tools to supplement your other learning methods. Information is provided on screen for both right and left-handed players!

Eight Days A Week is pretty simple from a chord point of view, although if you're not quite comfortable with barre chords then the B minors will pose a challenge. This is an excellent song to practice them with. I've stuck to the acoustic guitar part, there is an additional electric guitar stabbing different versions of the chords on the record.

The entire song has a swung time feel, so keep that in mind for your strumming.

The famous intro/outro is actually played by the electric guitar on the original, but I've stuck it in here too. If your guitar doesn't have a cutaway then it's going to be very difficult to play that high up! Letting the D string ring open adds a lot to the sound. The intro uses hammer-ons with the ring finger to add some melody, it still sounds good if you can't quite manage to fit them in.

If it's all too much, then you can play the acoustic guitar part instead by just playing the verse chords: D, E, G and D.
