John William Cummings, born on October 8, 1948, and passed away on September 15, 2004, was known as Johnny Ramone when he performed. He was an American musician and one of the original members of the Ramones, a band that played a big part in starting the punk music movement. In 2002, the band was put into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Johnny, along with the lead singer Joey Ramone, was one of the only two original members who stayed in the band from the beginning until it broke up in 1996.
