Hi once again welcome to the part 2 of my Northern Areas vlog. today im going to tell you about the top best Places to visit near Skardu which can be a day trip.

what i did was skardu was the main place o stayed and then had day trips to all these wonderful beautiful places

1. Manthokha Waterfall – The Hidden Cascade of Kharmang Valley

Nestled in the picturesque Kharmang Valley, approximately 80 km from Skardu, Manthokha Waterfall stands tall at 180 feet. This natural marvel, surrounded by lush green pastures and towering mountains, has become a symbol of the region's untouched beauty.

Distance from Skardu: Approximately 40 km.

2. Shigar Fort – A Testament to Baltistan's Royal Legacy

Located about 30 km from Skardu, Shigar Fort, also known as Fong Khar, was constructed in the 17th century by Raja Hassan Khan of the Amacha Dynasty. Built upon a massive boulder, this fort served as the royal residence and has witnessed the region's rich history. Restored by the Aga Khan Cultural Service Pakistan, it now operates as a heritage museum and luxury hotel, preserving the legacy of the Balti people.

3. Chunda Valley – The Overlooked Paradise
