Azure Synapse Link and Dataverse: Part 5 - Querying choice fields' Metadata

Описание: Welcome to part 5 of our Azure Synapse Link and Dataverse - Better Together series!

Choice fields (previously known as optionsets) as well as status/status reason fields all display a text value to the user to select, but they store an integer in the database. Azure Synapse Link shows only the integer in the table but provides a set of metadata views with the corresponding labels. In this video we'll see how to join your query to the metadata to return the text value for your reports. As a bonus I'll point out a chrome/edge plugin that makes query building easier by revealing fieldnames in the UI.
