This footage took place mid-week Sept. 99. It was the time for aircraft
to prepare and make qualifying attempts on the shortened course. The
aircraft would then compete in Heat Races to determine their starting
position for Sunday. Wednesday's best speed, Race #7 - P-51, Tiger in
STREGA at 479.620 mph. Thursday's best speed, Race # 38 - P-51 MOD, Levitz in MISS ASHLEY 11 at 393.214 mph. You can find all the race
