Unlike the previous government, which sometimes missed giving pensions for a month, now people can even receive pensions for three months at a time if needed. Every year, elderly people receive ₹48,000, dialysis patients get ₹1.2 lakh, and patients with serious long-term illnesses get ₹1.8 lakh. The government also provides free bus travel for medical treatment. Every month, on the first day, the Chief Minister personally gives the pension to a family and checks on their problems. Government staff go directly to people’s homes to deliver the money. Even if MPs or MLAs are not available, the CM ensures the distribution happens. Because of these efforts, the NTR Bharosa Scheme has become the largest direct benefit transfer scheme in India, helping thousands of families live with dignity and security.
