Описание: Hawaiian hawksbills, or 'ea, are extremely rare, so we count ourselves lucky whenever we see one. We spotted this particular 'ea right at the start of our dive. They often don't hang around long, but this one was completely unconcerned by us, and was only interested in getting lunch. The 'ea eat sponges, and to get at them they dig up the reef. To be accurate, they make holes in the coral. Sometimes these are pretty large holes, as you'll see. There are no coral conservationists among the 'ea.
