Описание:
Capture rainwater to recharge groundwater. This is mandatory for sites 30x40 ft (1200 sq. ft.) and larger.
The Preferred Method: Recharge Well (Empty Ring Well)
This is the easiest to maintain and most common method in Bangalore.
1. Dig a Well: Excavate a round pit, usually 3 feet wide and 10 to 12 feet deep.
2. Insert Rings: Lower concrete (RCC) rings into the hole to support the walls.
3. Leave it Empty: Do not fill the well with stones or sand. Leave the inside empty so it holds more water.
4. Pack the Sides: Fill the small gap outside the rings (between the concrete and the soil) with 40mm jelly stones.
5. Install a Filter: Fix a wall-mounted filter on your rainwater pipe. Only clean, filtered water should enter the well.
6. Cover It: Place a strong concrete manhole cover on top for safety.
Key Rules
• Capacity: For a standard 30x40 site, a 3 ft x 10 ft well is usually sufficient.
• Placement: Keep the well at least 3 feet away from your building foundation and walls.
• Flow: Roof Rainwater \rightarrow Filter \rightarrow Recharge Well.
