The completely redesigned Escape was designed, engineered and built for a life in motion. From the spacious new interior, to the sleek, head-turning lines of the exterior, the 2020 Ford Escape was built for adventure on the road and a lifestyle on the go.
The new 2020 Escape has a choice of Hybrid or Plug-in Hybrid with a 2.5L iVCT Atkinson-cycle hybrid engine. A 1.5L EcoBoost® and the 2.0L EcoBoost with Auto Start-Stop Technology are the available gas engines.
Introducing Ford Co-Pilot360 — an advanced suite of standard driver-assist technologies that includes, Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking, Auto High-Beam Headlamps, Lane-Keeping System and Rear View Camera. Ford Escape also makes additional technology available that is designed to help keep you in command, from the driveway to the highway.
Designed to help improve your driving experience and handling on varying road surfaces. The different modes are Eco, Sport, Normal, Slippery and Deep Snow/Sand. Once selected, each one of these driving modes can modify the electronic stability control system and traction control system without you having to do anything.
Designed to help save fuel, All-Wheel Drive Disconnect allows for the disconnection of the rear driveline when the system detects AWD is not needed. This allows only the front wheels to propel the vehicle, therefore reducing drag and the overall energy demands of the drivetrain.
Keep your eyes on the road. The available head-up display creates an image on a display screen in front of the driver on the windshield. This minimizes the distraction of having to look at the instrument panel. Head-up display keeps you informed with various driver-assist features that include Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop-and-Go, Lane-Keeping System, Navigation, incoming calls and more.
