When he had his terrible accident in Bahrain at the end of 2020, it wasn't just the sports world that held its breath: For the first time, Geneva Formula 1 driver Romain Grosjean tells "Gredig direkt" in detail how he had already finished with life, yet escaped the flames - and how he is doing today. The pictures went around the world: Romain Grosjean, who smashes through a crash barrier head-on with his Formula 1 car at over 200 kilometers per hour, but is able to free himself from the blazing car wreck after an anxious 28 seconds and escapes with some burns and his life. Since November 29, 2020 and the fateful Bahrain Grand Prix, Grosjean's career in Formula 1 has been over - probably for good. The 34-year-old, who was born and raised in Geneva but always drove under the French flag, speaks openly and clearly to "Gredig direkt" about his thoughts and feelings during and after his worst crash. Has the father of three now sworn off racing altogether or does he want to continue exposing himself to the big risks? And what about his physical and mental health after the traumatic experience?
