In this series I will be meeting and talking to intercounty players to discuss the differences between club and county, alongside their journey to playing with their county and the importance of their clubs, and we will have some shooting and physical challenges along the way
In this episode I met with Westmeaths Luke Loughlin from The Downs club just outside Mullingar
Luke talks about his journey from a young player to a senior intercounty player, mistakes he has made both on and off the pitch, and touching on his alcohol and substance addiction issues
Luke has been very open about his past and tries to help anyone in a similar position as best he can
We kick a few wides, have a few races, and talk about the sport we both love, and he talks a bit about hurling too
