This Kavach has been narrated by Lord Shiva to Goddess Parvathy. It is also said that the Hanuman Kavacha was also taught by Lord Rama to Lord Vibheeshana.
Unlike other Kavach’s of Hanuman, this is a simple prayer and not a tantric text ( example Panchamukhi Kavach)
It is also said that before the Hanuman Kavach is recited, the Rama Raksha Kavach must be recited
