Newsweek Senior Editor-at-Large Josh Hammer blasts New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani, accusing him of a double standard for requiring ID to shovel snow during the city’s blizzard while opposing voter ID.
“I cannot make it make sense … this blizzard is actually really bad,” Mr Hammer told Sky News Digital Presenter Gabriella Power.
“They should have seen this coming. New York City basically shut down for essentially 24 hours; there were no taxis, no cars on the road, it’s a veritable mess there.
“If you’re going to have the chutzpah to offer a $30 minimum wage with all the economic repercussions that has … shouldn’t you offer that same wage to people to shovel snow in the worst blizzard?
“It makes no sense … the guy just has no idea what he’s doing.”
