The Chinese Swimming Association held their sixth Congress of Members in Beijing, where Zhou Jihong was elected the new president.
The CSA held its Fifth General Assembly in 2014. At the meeting, the work report of the Fifth Representative Assembly was first heard and deliberated to introduce and summarize the achievements made in Chinese swimming over the past 11 years. The highlight was Chinese swimmers securing a total of 6 gold, 7 silver, and 11 bronze medals at the Rio 2016, Tokyo 2020, and Paris 2024 Olympics. The meeting then approved the list of leaders for the Sixth Council of the CSA. Zhou Jihong was elected as the president, while Huang Wei and a further seven members were elected as vice presidents, with Huang concurrently serving as secretary-general. President Zhou stated that the CSA would continue to focus on the strategic goal of building China into a sports power by 2035, promoting its development in competitive sports, youth sports, and nationwide fitness initiatives.
