This is a very basic tutorial of how to master a track through Ozone-7.
Required is that you have:
A well mastered track that you want your new track's mastered based on.
You have a new track very well mixed down and rendered at around -6dB.
I'm explaining just the basics of mastering needed to put down a very decent mastering which is still far from a high level studio mastering. Still it should be good enough to put your music out on the market.
I've used Northstar11 - Marathon as a Source track and K37 - New Born as the Target track to be mastered. You will notice that the target track is very well mixed and does not need a lot of adjustment.... as it should be. I've come across all kinds of mix-downs, ranging from near-perfect to some send-backs that were impossible to master without destroying certain significant frequencies in the process.
Always keep in mind: if you have a very hard time mastering, there's probably something wrong with the mix-down and you should return to adjusting the mix first.
