A dramatic rescue unfolded in Beloretsk in Russia’s Ural region after a Lada Granta caught fire in a residential courtyard. Flames were seen rising from the bonnet while a man remained trapped inside the vehicle.
A passerby rushed to the scene and dragged the victim from the front seat to safety moments before the fire intensified.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Bashkortostan said the injured man was taken to hospital in serious condition. Firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
