Q: What method do I use to shiny hunt?

A: I use the Permutation method; Short explanation is that I catch and/or KO pokemon in a horde in a specific order to change the spawns in the second horde and hopefully find a shiny. This works for hunting regular pokemon and alphas. For a more in-depth explanation, I recommend checking out Austin John Plays as he's put out some informative videos regarding this method.
