King of the Monsters 2 was developed by Takara for the Sega Genesis Mega Drive console in 1994. This version of the game functions more like a fighting game with special abilities.
While the arcade and super nintendo are more like beat'em ups.
This video shows all the Grabs and Special Abilities of 9 playable characters. If you turn OFF items in options menus, you will not have to collect power ups to unlock abilities.
Turning the Items ON will make it so you have to find POWER icons to access your other abilties at level 2 or 3.
