Today marks the commencement of our 2019 senior class at Al Mawakeb and ISAS, a class of creative, witty, and vibrant individuals ready to achieve personal ambitions, change others’ lives, and leave their mark on the world.

This year is not just any year since it is the Year of Tolerance. We take pride in being a school that has since inception embraced tolerance and acceptance as part of our core values. After all, we are a haven for students and staff from diverse backgrounds living in harmony and happiness. Needless to say, diversity is one of our greatest strengths. We are firm believers that tolerance and acceptance are foundations for all advanced societies, empowering them and ensuring their stability and success.

On this special day, we celebrate graduates from over 25 nationalities. In our aspiration to excel and our desire to make this world a better place, we rejoice that, despite our differences, we all share the same values, dreams and goals. We share a very special gift: a diversity of perspectives to solving problems, to create, to innovate and to yield amazing results. In our firm belief to carry on Sheikh Zayed’s legacy and teachings, we sought to continue to transform the lives of others with the birth of our fourth AMSI school, Al Mawakeb Al Khawaneej. With it, we continued to drive excellence in education and bring out the best in our children. Since its inception, the school has witnessed a kaleidoscope of cultures come together with love, respect, and an avid commitment to our core values.

Class of 2019, our hope for you is that your education helps you keep an open and discerning mind, a tolerant and accepting spirit, and a kind heart. Continue to be compassionate and selfless. We wish you curiosity, confidence, and enlightenment, and, as you journey forward, make a point of reaching out to people whose beliefs and values differ from your own. Listen to them, understand them, and find that common ground. Venture forth to impact more individuals and ensure the safety, stability and happiness of people across the world.
