Welcome to the first major project in our Arduino Tutorial Series! In this video, we integrate the components from our previous lessons to build a Smart RFID Door Access Control System.
This project demonstrates how to create a security logic that distinguishes between authorized and unauthorized users. When a registered RFID card is scanned, the system validates the Unique ID (UID) and displays "ACCESS GRANTED" on the I2C LCD. If an unknown card is used, it triggers an "ACCESS DENIED" warning. This project serves as the essential "brain" for any electronic locking system.
Key Learning Objectives:
1. Integrating SPI (RFID) and I2C (LCD) protocols in a single sketch.
2. Implementing UID validation logic using the memcmp function.
3. Managing real-time visual feedback on a 16x2 Display.
4. Structuring a multi-component Arduino project.
