The term Würm refers to the glaciation period, to which Haraway dedicated part of her research, particularly the Pleistocene epoch and the woman of that period according to studies from the mid-1980s. The parallel is drawn between the female figure and the role assigned to her by historians, linked to concepts of servitude, hearth, and androcentric society, making her similar to a worm.
At the same time, the worm is a symbol of the resistance of a nature that persists despite cultural, social, and environmental forces that try to distort or eradicate it. This gene makes us continue to fight for our affirmation. Here, I refer to a study on worms that survived in the permafrost from the Pleistocene (unbelievable, right?).
The waxing moon above aims to reinforce the concept of renewal, narrate transformation, and promise change. It is no coincidence that the shape of the worm and the moon coincide; both want to be the protagonists of this positive evolution.
