The entire world has been affected by the increased tensions due to the war in West Asia. India has also been impacted. Especially, the energy sector has been affected on a large scale due to the disruption of ship movements through the Strait of Hormuz. In recent days, Iran allowed some Indian ships to pass through Hormuz. It is now being reported that 22 ships heading to India are stranded near the strategically important Hormuz. Diplomatic efforts have been accelerated to get them out safely. Interestingly, six of these ships are carrying liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). Four ships are carrying crude oil. According to information, the Indian government has stepped up diplomatic efforts to ensure a safe route for the 22 Indian ships stranded west of Hormuz. The Ministry of External Affairs stated that India is in contact with several countries in the region to ensure that energy supplies are not disrupted and that Indian ships can reach their destinations safely. Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randeep Jaiswal said that India has maintained continuous contact with countries in West Asia.

पश्चिम एशिया में युद्ध के चलते बढ़े तनाव से पूरी दुनिया प्रभावित हुई है. भारत पर भी उसका असर पड़ा है. खासकर होर्मुज स्‍ट्रेट से जहाजों की आवाजाही प्रभावित होने के चलते एनर्जी सेक्‍टर पर व्‍यापक पैमाने पर असर पड़ा है. पिछले दिनों ईरान ने कुछ भारतीय जहाजों को होर्मुज से गुजरने की अनुमति दी थी. अब बताया जा रहा है कि रणनीतिक रूप से महत्‍वपूर्ण होर्मुज के पास भारत आने वाले 22 जहाज फंसे हुए हैं. इसे सुरक्षित निकालने के लिए कूटनीतिक मुहिम तेज कर दी गई है. दिलचस्‍प बात यह है कि इनमें से 6 जहाज में लिक्विफाइड पेट्रोलियम गैस यानी LPG लदा हुआ है. चार जहाजों में क्रूड ऑयल है.
जानकारी के अनुसार, भारत सरकार ने होर्मुज के पश्चिम में फंसे 22 भारतीय जहाजों के लिए सुरक्षित मार्ग सुनिश्चित करने की कूटनीतिक कोशिश तेज कर दी है. विदेश मंत्रालय ने बताया कि भारत क्षेत्र के कई देशों के संपर्क में है, ताकि ऊर्जा आपूर्ति प्रभावित न हो और भारतीय जहाज सुरक्षित रूप से अपने गंतव्य तक पहुंच सकें. विदेश मंत्रालय के प्रवक्ता रणधीर जायसवाल ने बताया कि भारत ने पश्चिम एशिया के देशों के साथ लगातार संपर्क बनाए रखा है. उन्होंने कहा कि भारत की प्राथमिकता ऊर्जा सुरक्षा और समुद्री मार्गों की सुरक्षित आवाजाही सुनिश्चित करना है. इसके लिए खाड़ी सहयोग परिषद (GCC) के देशों के साथ-साथ ईरान, अमेरिका और इजरायल से भी बातचीत की जा रही है.
