Shares of Vodafone Idea tumbled over 9 per cent to their 52-week low of ₹8.91 on Monday, October 7. By the time of filing this story on Tuesday the stock had rebounded by 3.38% and was trading at 9.47 a share on the NSE. The fluctuation which has become quite usual with the stock as because of reports that the department of telecommunications has issued a notice to the company over the non-payment of bank guarantees. The moratorium, for spectrum auction dues for the telco ends in September 2025. The bank guarantees need to be submitted at least a year in advance for securing the dues.
