Описание: Submitting your app to the app store is not as easy as you may think, You need a special developer account and specific files to be able to go through with the process. Our chief Changemaker Puff walks us through the things that need to be taken into consideration for the process to run smoothly.

As part of our campaign to demystify all areas of the app development process, we've written blog posts expanding on each of the points made in the video, check them out below:

"There's a couple of topics that I want to touch on there. So, the first one is submitting through a developer account. So we have our own developer account here at 3 SIDED CUBE and we can submit on your behalf, or we can utilise your developer account. So clients will have their own developer account that they want to submit to the app store. It all comes down to when the app's on the app store, who you want it to be "developed by". Whether or not you want it to be the agency or whether you want it to be yours. If you want it to be your name, your brand then you are going to need a developer account.

The second part to that question if you like, is, you know, the files and everything that you need. So we have a checklist, a tick list, that our project managers will run through with the client, so that the client is clear on all of the file types, everything that they need to be able to submit to the app store. And the client can do it, we can do it, ideally we look to do it in partnership and we'll do it together. And it's a monumental moment in a project when you can actually submit something to the app store.

With Android, with Google Play it's very simple and it's quite quick. The approval process is very quick, it just goes live I think they say a maximum of 48 hours, but usually it's only a few hours. With the Apple Store it's slightly different because obviously everything needs to be approved and it can take up to two weeks. You can expedite a submission, so you can get it pushed through really quickly if you have the right contacts and you have a good enough reason. So quite often, it might be because you've got a marketing campaign going live and you had to make a last-minute change so you need to really expedite that review. Or it might be that "look there's an actual disaster coming, we know there's a hurricane coming, we've got to get this app through". They can be lenient, but I would always allow for a maximum of two weeks of that approval process with Apple. Which is always a bit of a downer I think, because when you press 'Submit' you always want to see the app live straight away, but it does take time and that does need to be factored into project plans."
