Cozy MkIV aeroplane build - Ch13 - Put a nose on it.

Makes it look, (to me), dramatically more like an aeroplane.

Another opportunity to rework a part when bright idea of mine doesn't work. Sincere frustration incorporating a pre-fab part, the nosebowl. On the other hand it helped me to achieve the final result I wanted. This is the last chapter in the old shed, at the end the whole project gets sealed up in a shipping container, and I spend the next year building a new 9.5 x 10m shed. With a LEVEL floor.

Tip #22 - My biggest regret of the build is I followed the plans when shaping the upper nose. When it came time to shape the canard cover and canopy frame I could not get a satisfactory curve from the nose bowl. If I did it again I would omit the top of the nose, and shape all three parts in one beautiful curve in Chapter 18, with Chapter 24 step 8 (the canard cover) included.
