On occasion, a shadowy, incredibly powerful race of super-beings that calls themselves the Masters abduct entire ships and set them against one another in a sort of sporting event. In this instance, a trio of Galactic Powers vessels were taken and subjected to a grand race through a chaotic and unpredictably deadly obstacle course.
