We always make choices and Choices make us. Certain choices can turn our life around and change its direction for better or for worse. As youth and parents what choices should we make, in critical areas of our life, is what this message is about!
Starting with COMMUNICATION, do we choose to respect each other or call each other derogatory names. As we communicate, do we actively listen or shut our ears- interested only in putting our views across.
Secondly, how do we HANDLE conflict- with godly love or with anger; how do we handle stress- do we cast it on our Savior or keep carrying the ever growing burden.
Thirdly, when OPPORTUNITY knocks on your door, will you work hard no matter what obstacles you face, or will you just talk, talk, talk and do nothing?; Will you use your time efficiently without wasting it on mundane stuff?
Next, do we have positive IMPACT or influence on others or do we allow others who tend to deceive and mislead to influence us?
Next, do we go for good COMPANIONS or corrupting friends? Do we wait for the gift from God for our lifetime companion, or do we choose ourselves unwisely?
Lastly, do we have faith in God for our EXPECTATIONS to bear fruit or do we become discouraged due to lack of faith.
Six CHOICES! Choose wisely my dear youth and their loving parents.
