This series of videos showcases all of the cutscenes, including the different outcomes whether the support character lives or dies and if you decide to kill the last descendant or not. This was done in multiple playthroughs.
Isohachi is one of the many unlockable characters. You unlock him by completing story mode with Hongou or Gengoro if you keep him alive. Don't let his age fool you. This old man is really good. He's one of the few balanced fighters that can handle any weapon, even the Yari which he's best at. He doesn't have a sub weapon, instead he shouts which stuns the opponent.
Even though he's good gameplay wise, you can't take him seriously in the story. They all treat him like a weak old man which gets him worked up often. His voice is hilarious too.
