The biggest trigger right now is the massive surge in crude oil prices. Crude oil has jumped nearly 24% to $113, while Brent crude is trading near $112, rising more than 21% amid rising tensions between Iran, Israel, and the United States.

Early signals for India are also weak. Gift Nifty is trading at 23,807, down 767 points, suggesting a gap-down opening.

Institutional data from 6 March 2026 shows DIIs were net buyers worth ₹6,971 crore, while FIIs were net sellers worth ₹6,030 crore.
