There was an editing issue with my last upload of this and it took two rude comments to make me aware of it. I have edited, per their oh-so-kind suggestion. On the original, I cut out the part where I add the nuts in. Then I turn on the camera when I start zesting my orange and washing my dishes. That 3 minute part has been edited out. I'm so glad I didn't swear and only sighed (stress!!) during that gap. If you ever see something that just doesn't add up, you CAN speak up and say that there may have been an editing snafu without me jumping down your throat. This is the second time it has happened and I can guaran-damned-tee you it will happen again. I am human.
My friend Sandi, iwalk4tnt, passed away recently. She loved to bake and cook for her husband and sons. She love, love, loved preparing local Hawaiian foods for her boys. I was the lucky recipient of her "Mojo cookies" once and she sent me her recipe, which I shall make at some point. I decided to do something she had pinned on her Pinterest account. This was a good, moist bread. It called for two 8x5 bread pans, however, I think you should use one 9x5 and just watch the baking time. They were really short because they were broken up into two pans. Please do not ask me about substitutions. That is what Google is for.
Here is the recipe which was pinned:

I was in a rush to get out of the house to meet up with a friend for lunch, but wanted to take her one of these loaves, so ran into the problem of not reading the entire recipe all the way through before baking. I do not think it affected the bread in any way, shape or form. I don't know that I would have actually liked having the orange juice poured over the completed bread. The top already was a little moist as is. It would probably have ruined it.
1-8 oz package cream cheese, softened
1/2 c shortening
1 2/3 c granulated sugar
2 eggs
2 1/4 c all-purpose flour
1 tsp salt
1 Tbsp baking powder
1 c milk
1/2 c chopped walnuts
2 Tbsp grated orange peel
1/4 c orange juice
Combine cream cheese and shortening, creaming well.
Gradually add sugar, beating until light and fluffy.
Add eggs, beating well after each addition.
Combine flour, baking powder and salt; add to creamed mixture alternately with milk, beginning and ending with flour mixture. Mix well after each addition.
Stir in walnuts and orange peel.
Pour batter into 2 greased and floured 8-1/2 x 4-1/2 x 3 inch loaf pans.
Bake at 375 degrees F for 55 minutes or until a wooden toothpick inserted into center comes out clean.
Let cool in pan for 10 minutes. Then sprinkle orange juice over loaves. Remove to wire rack to finish cooling
