Biswanath College adopted the tribal-dominated village of Kro-Arong at Karbi Block on the Assam-Arunachal Pradesh border in December 2020. The initial plan was executed by the Biswanath College National Service Scheme Unit (NSS) under the active guidance of Dr. Chinta Mani Sharma, the Principal of the college. The primary impetus of this endeavor was to transform the village into a socially, economically and culturally developed region of Biswanath district. The college fraternity has been working since 20th January 2021 for the overall upliftment of the local community inhabiting the village.
Karbi Block Kro-Arong Village is located at Biswanath District in the state of Assam, India at the latitude of 26.8580 N and the longitude of 93.1520 N. This Village is under Pabhoi Gaon Panchayat and Development Block is Sakomotha, (PO- Pabhoi, PIN-784174). The distance between Pabhoi and Kro-Arong is about 6 km and it is 16 km from Biswanath Chariali Town.
