Karnataka Tightens covid restrictions, Weekend curfew across the border areas

Описание: As covid-19 cases are increasing day by day in the southern city, Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai announced night curfew across the state from 9 pm till further orders. There will be a weekend curfew as well imposed around the border districts of both states, Maharashtra and Kerala. The Karnataka government has also planned to re-open the schools in a phased manner where, in the first phase senior classes, 9th,10th,11th, and 12th from August 23. In this regard, Karnataka CM said, "We have decided to impose weekend curfew in districts bordering Kerala and Maharashtra and the night curfew in force across the state will begin from 9 PM itself instead of 10 PM (it will be from 9 PM to 5 AM), and police have been asked to implement it strictly,".
