Dean Tweedle was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease on his 65th birthday. Once a champion skier, he is a strong believer in the power of habit, and his discipline pushes him out the door every day, rain or shine, to walk. For Dean, the only motivation more powerful than his strong will is the love of his family. His wife, Glenni, and their children, Stef and Tam, have been supporting him on every step of his journey. Together, they even hiked the Grand Canyon, covering 16 miles in just under 10 hours - all in one day.
Parkinson Society British Columbia is proud to support families like the Tweedles, who remind us of the strength and love of the Parkinson's community. To learn more about our organization, and how you can help, visit www.parkinson.bc.ca.
