Charles V.P. von Luttichau was a German-born military historian who worked for the U.S. Army’s Office of the Chief of Military History. Born in Germany, he served in the German Army (Wehrmacht) during World War II. After the war, he immigrated to the United States and became a U.S. citizen.

Von Luttichau contributed to several official U.S. Army histories of World War II and was valued for his knowledge of German military operations and access to German-language sources.
