listen, everyone loves a good shakespeare and company but there's so much more to the parisian literary scene... they also don't let you film inside lol
it's a small list, but it regroups some of my favourite places to hang (and buy books lol). some are big but most of those are independent bookshops, small, women and black owned businesses.
it's actually really important for me to talk about them because they suffered from the lockdowns and wild competition from online retailers. paris just wouldn't be the same without them :') (yes i'm already planning the next one in this series!)

i also talk a about places like café de flore and les deux magots where writers and artists used to convene. i mean people like hemingway (even if he's a lil sh*t), simone de beauvoir, james baldwin, picasso (also a lil sh*t) hung out, talked things out, even created there!! can you tell i miss cafés lol
