A day after India struck terror camps across the LoC, Pakistani F 16 jets violated Indian air space in Jammu and Kashmir's Nowshera region to target military installations in India. The Indian Air Force shot down a Pakistani aircraft in retaliatory fire, which crashed on its territory, in the Lam Valley area along the Line of Control. Govt officials have confirmed that a Wing Commander who engaged Pakistani jets is missing in action. Pakistan has claimed that he is in their custody. Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan in a televised address again advocated the need for a dialogue.
