Описание: This is Vox Populi, the 1968 LP by Les Sinners, released in Canada on the Jupiter label. Originally formed in Montreal, Les Sinners started as a French-language garage band before shifting toward heavier psychedelic rock by the time this album was recorded. Vox Populi captures that transition perfectly, mixing fuzzed-out garage energy with darker, more experimental psych touches.

The album leans heavier than their earlier work, with distorted guitars, thick bass, and a raw, confrontational feel that fits right alongside late-60s North American garage psych. There’s still melody here, but it’s wrapped in grit and urgency. This is one of those Canadian psych LPs that never really crossed the border at the time, but absolutely belongs in the same conversation as US and UK underground records from the era.

A few standout tracks for me are Vox Populi, Vautour, and Siffle Et Vole. That’s where the band sounds the most aggressive and psychedelic, pushing beyond straight garage into something darker and more unpredictable.
