Описание: In 1965 Norbert Winkler and some music enthusiastic classmates founded the band "The Comrades". A very courageous undertaking.
The musical instruments were borrowed or stuttered on installments, the radios of the parents or record players were converted into amplifiers.

After one year the "Comrades" became the group "THE PHANTOMS". Through diligent practice and increasing stage experience
the first successes were achieved. An aspiring new Viennese rock and blues band had entered the limelight.

They played the songs of ROLLING STONES and THE PRETTY THINGS, unfortunately almost unknown today.
The current jukebox hits rounded off the program. Performances at STARCLUB WIEN, CHATTANOOGA and Studio "N",
the METROPOL of today, with TV recordings and victories in the "Band Competition Zeltgasse" contributed to the rising
The PHANTOMS is well known.

Unbelievable - but true! In the most beautiful flight the band began to dissolve.
One had to join the army, the other looked for the joys of marriage, study or new jobs suddenly determined
life and no longer music alone.

But for Norbert Winkler this band remained an essential, unforgettable part of his youth.
On his 50th birthday he decided to enjoy this incomparable feeling again.
At that time a vision began to mature - the PHANTOMS were to rise again.

After long preparatory work it succeeded to unite all former band members again.
The first concert together was an unexpected success. Many friends of the youth followed the invitation and
the Schutzhaus am Ameisbach was really full to bursting to the last chair with 400 listeners.

10 years later three outstanding musicians joined the band: Dr. Friedrich Kober, Gerald Jelesitz and DI Franz Gösenbauer.
Together they worked out the songs of the 50's and 60's, just like in the primeval times of the PHANTOMS.
Rudi Wenzl on guitar and Irene Kober as choir singer complete the band, which will also be joined from 2012 to March 2015 by
Johanna Schmon on the saxophone and as a choir singer.

Main part of her program are the songs of the Rolling Stones, hits by Chuck Berry, Fats Domino
and a few more find their place in the repertoire as well. Every now and then there are also some songs from younger days.
