Unfortunately, Jerry's 2014 Polaris RZR 800S has developed a pretty bad rod knock. We were hoping it was the clutch, but no... it's the engine knocking. In episode 1 we took the engine out of the machine. Today we are going to tear it down and get the crankshaft out of it, and hopefully identify the root cause of the knocking noise!
In this 5 part series, we will be removing the engine from the chassis, rebuilding it, then installing the engine back into the frame. It is going to be quite a process with obstacles along the way, but all in all we had a lot of fun. I invite you to come along on this journey with us as we get this thing up and running, then back on the trails!
