✈️🚆 Full journey on the MTR Airport Express from AsiaWorld Expo/Airport to Hong Kong

The MTR Airport Express was opened in 1998 alongside the Hong Kong International Airport (HKG). It only takes less than 30 minutes to travel between the airport and the city. AsiaWorld-Expo Station was opened later in 2005. The Airport Express trains are the premium version of the Tung Chung Line CAF-trains. The maximum operating speed is the same at 135km/h, but the seats differ. The seats are similar to an intercity train but with no reserved seating. The fee for the Airport Express is very high. Travelling the entire Airport Express will cost HKD 110 (USD 14, EUR 13). Luckily I don't have to pay the fee for this ride due to a lucky draw. The Airport Express runs every 10 minutes, but there aren't that many people using it. Most people will probably choose to take the Airport Buses instead.

港鐵機場快綫在1998年與香港國際機場一同啟用，來往機場和香港只需要30分鐘，而博覽館站則在2005年啟用。機場快綫的列車是東涌綫CAF-train的升級版，時速同樣為最高135km/h，但座位佈局為火車佈局，座位也更舒適，不過列車不設對號座。機場快線車費非常高，由香港前往機場或博覽館需要$110港幣，但幸好我這次行程因為活動抽獎而不用付費。機場快線在疫情後已經恢復每10分鐘一班車，但不是那麼多人使用，多數人還是會選擇A線機場巴士。
