When all is stripped away, blessings dry up and fade,
Promises feel silent in the night,
When the doctor's call is bad news, the check don't come through,
And the future's lost from sight...

Yet I will rejoice in the Lord!
I will take joy in the God of my salvation!

He is my strength, my rock, my foundation!
God, the Lord, He makes my feet like the deer's,
Swift and sure on the highest place!
In the hurricane, I'll lift my voice and sing,

Habakkuk faced the darkness, nation under judgment's hand,
Wicked rising, righteous fallin', hard to understand.
He cried out, "Why the silence? Why the wrong prevail?"
But God said, "Live by faith," and turned his heart to sail.
From questions to worship, no change in the storm,
But a deeper trust was born...

Yet I will rejoice in the Lord!

When the world chases comfort, success, and ease,
We declare defiant hope on bended knees!
Joy that don't depend on outcomes, steady through the pain,
God gives life as we overcome, again and again!
