Found among hedgerows and farmland fields, one of the Isle of Man’s rarest and most overlooked birds, the Tree Sparrow.
In this video, we take a closer look at this somewhat familiar species, how to identify it, and why its numbers have declined so dramatically. Like many farmland birds, Tree Sparrows were once a common sight across our landscape, but changes in agriculture, habitat loss, and reduced food availability have pushed them towards the edge.
