John Doc's tremendous rendition Don Gibson's Sweet Dreams to open up his 1983 EP At Cowie Bowling Club. It is the second time a version of the song has featured on one of John's releases, having appeared on the first Carousel record.

A massive thank you to Robert McAllan, as without him, these songs wouldn't have appeared for all to hear.

Cowie Bowling Club is one of the foremost bowling clubs in Scotland and plays host to many of the major bowling events throughout the year. It is situated five miles East of Stirling.

John Docherty has been associated with the Club for many years, entertaining on a regular basis every Saturday and Sunday afternoon. John has made many friends in the village and is regarded as a first class entertainer by us all.

This record has been made at the request of the Club's patrons and the four tracks included in this E.P. are the most requested songs in John's vast repertoire.

We would like to thank musical director Billy Young for his help in the making of this record.
