Catherine King must face ‘serious questions’ over Qatar Airways block

Описание: Sky News host Amanda Stoker has called for Transport Minister Catherine King to answer some “serious questions” about the government’s block of additional Qatar Airways flights.

A parliamentary inquiry is investigating the government's decision to block extra Qatar Airways flights from coming into Australia.

The Coalition has been vocal about what it sees as an inappropriately tight relationship between the government and Qantas.

“Now we know the minister responsible wasn't even prepared to have her department authorised to do its job and enter into good faith negotiations with Qatar Airways,” Ms Stoker said.

“The Senate committee looking into this has some very important work to do.”
