On November 2, 1983, Dean and Sam Winchester's mother, Mary, lost her life when a demon set their house on fire. The father of the two children, John, begins to educate his children to hunt for the supernatural with the aim of finding the creature that killed his wife and taking revenge.
Sam and Dean travel across America in a black 1967 Chevy Impala investigating and combating paranormal events and other unexplained occurrences, many of them based on American urban legends and folklore as well as classic supernatural creatures such as demons, vampires, werewolves, and ghosts.
