Join us on an unforgettable journey through Istanbul, the city where East meets West. Discover the rich history and stunning architecture of this vibrant metropolis as we explore its most iconic landmarks.
Our first stop is the Hagia Sophia Grand Mosque, a magnificent building that has stood for over 1500 years. Originally built as a cathedral by Emperor Justinian in 537 AD, it was later converted into a mosque and is now a museum. Its massive dome and intricate mosaics are sure to leave you in awe.
Next, we visit the Topkapi Palace Museum, once the residence of Ottoman sultans and now a museum showcasing their lavish lifestyle. Explore its courtyards and gardens and marvel at the exquisite tilework and intricate carvings.
We then descend into the Basilica Cistern, an underground reservoir built in the 6th century to supply water to the city. Its forest of columns and dimly lit atmosphere create an otherworldly experience.
Our journey continues at the Istanbul Archaeology Museums, where we delve into the city's ancient past. See artifacts from civilizations that once called Istanbul home, including Greek, Roman and Ottoman empires.
We then climb to the top of Galata Tower for breathtaking views of Istanbul's skyline. This medieval stone tower was built in 1348 and has served as a watchtower, prison and observatory over its long history.
Our next stop is Sultanahmet Square & Blue Mosque. The square is home to some of Istanbul's most famous landmarks including the Blue Mosque with its six minarets and cascading domes. The mosque gets its name from the blue tiles that adorn its interior walls.
We then lose ourselves in the hustle and bustle of Grand Bazaar (Kapali Carsi), one of the largest covered markets in the world. With over 4000 shops selling everything from spices to jewelry to carpets, it's easy to spend hours exploring its labyrinthine alleys.
Finally, we take a ferry ride to Princes’ Islands for some peace and quiet away from city life. These islands were once used as exile destinations for Byzantine princes but are now popular getaways for locals looking for some fresh air.
Throughout our journey we'll also discover Istanbul's vibrant arts scene and indulge in its delicious cuisine featuring fresh seafood from Bosphorus Strait , succulent kebabs , sweet baklava , Turkish delight , strong tea , aromatic coffee , meze platters , pide breads etc .
Join us on this unforgettable adventure through Istanbul – you won't want to miss it!
